We have seen the importance of testing and automation increase to be able to ship quality products at speed.With increase in demand and growth of the product, scalability and performance plays an important role. Businesses need to brace themselves for this impact and be in a state of preparedness
The pandemic showed a shift in the industry with more businesses choosing to go online. This meant that they had to be ready to deal with an increase in the number of users and data. Also, with increased focus on Site Reliability and DevOps, performance testing plays important role in post-production. Aspects of Site Reliability such as Continuous availability, scalability and endurance make performance testing a key focus area.
That said, there are some fundamental questions that need to be answered
This talk summarises my views on the state of performance testing and how things have changed post-pandemic with more and more businesses going online and business had to prepare for increasing footfall.
Brijesh Deb is a Principal Consultant with Infosys in the Netherlands and has over 2 decades of experience of leading, managing and coaching teams on Software Testing and embracing the Agile mindset. Being a hands-on software tester has also helped him stay close to technology and understand the intricacies. He has been involved in testing of applications from lightweight mobile apps to the large scale industrial IoT solutions. He works with some of the top most high tech companies providing everyday solutions in the Automotive, Avionics, Semiconductor, Space, Agriculture and Energy sectors to name a few.
He is also the founding enabler of a global testing community called The Test Chat which is focused on bringing the testers’ voice to the fore. There are more than 13 thousands testers as a part of the community.
