Scaling Selenium Tests on Kubernetes

Selenium Grid on our servers requires huge compute resources and manual intervention to scale up or down and to prevent zero downtime in the QA environment. Selenium Grid on public clouds like BrowserStack, SauceLabs, AWS, etc., is really good. But it won’t come for free, will it? How about a setup home-bred, born & brought up on K8s Cluster, Scaling up and down automatically and promising a ZERO downtime. All of these at a ZERO cost (Or at least a few bucks).

  • Better maintenance of the QA Environment
  • No Downtime
  • Scaling up and down automatically based on the demand
  • Load balancing of the Selenium Nodes so we never run out of them
