Innovation is the key to the future. All organisations and individuals, and possibly rightly so, talk of innovation in everything they do.
Should our focus be on innovation or being innovative? Do they mean the same? Does the act of getting better at what we are good at
naturally lead to an innovation? Are there any specific skills and behaviors needed for being innovative? Is necessity the mother of
invention or should innovations, in the spirit of newness, cater to imagined, well thought-out necessities? Do we continue to build better
for existing needs or take the world in a different direction altogether? Are the organisations truly innovating or is it the buzzword of the decade?
As software testing is the primary context of the conference, is there evidence of true innovation in the past decades? Have our questions

Rahul Verma is a testing entrepreneur from Bangalore. He is the Founder of Test Mile and is the creator of Arjuna and Daksha frameworks. He is the author of RahulVerma.net, co-creator of CMAP certifications and one of the authors of ISTQB foundations. He is an advisor and researcher for SALT – School of Applied Learning in Testing. An awarded thought leader for his contributions to Indian testing community, he is known for his practical and unified view of software testing. His software testing experience includes test automation frameworks, agile testing, web security, Python, design patterns and web performance testing. He has presented, published articles and educated thousands of testers in the said areas.

An entrepreneur at heart, he has founded start-ups including one in niche ecommerce which he later successfully exited. 3nayan is his third successful entrepreneurial venture. He also mentors select startups helping them solve strategic and operational problems.

Rajesh also works with customers on understanding requirements, mapping products to meet their requirements, resolve issues and collaborate with multiple entities on issue resolutions. Rajesh has 4 file rated patents in the area of analytics. He has lead various IBM teams to develop new products working with teams in various geographies. Rajesh is currently leading product development in MaaS360, IBM Security group. He works closely with customers and partners. Outside of work, Rajesh enjoys playing cricket, football, guitar, listening to music, outdoor activities, and travelling especially enjoy long drives. Rajesh holds an Engineering Degree in Electronics and Communication and an IBM Leadership Certificate from Wharton School. He resides in Bangalore, India and is married to Annie Phillips.
